Study on the Stress Intensity Factor for the Crack Tips under Unloading and Loading

ZHOU Xiao ping et al  
The mechanical behaviors of crack weakened rock mass under loading are different from those under unloading. It is important to study the strength and deformation of crack weakened rock mass under unloading. Based on the fracture mechanics, the stress intensity factor for the crack tips under loading and unloading is established and their difference is given. The conclusions can serve as reference for the rock engineering.
