Study on Formation Mechanism and Development Character of Karst in Yudongxia Tunnel of Xikang Railway

In this paper, the geology of the karst dev eloped in Yudongxia Tunnel of Xikang Railway was systematically studied, the main geological factors for c ontrol of the karst development is analyzed from the viewpoint of engineering ge ology. The formation, range and distribution character of geology of karst in th is tunnel are summarized, taking the karst cave of hall shape at portal of tunne l as an example combined with back deduction of the growth of karst cave in basi s of site geological information, then, the effective measures for its treatment are suggested.
