Systematic Analysis of Underground Cavern Groups in Background for Ertan Project

In this paper the authors use FLAC3D to carry out simulation analysis in underground power house of Ertan Project. FLAC3D is a three dimensional explicit finite-difference program. The authors considered different main factors which influence the stability of wall rocks and have done lots of numerical simulation analysis with approximate three dimension. The systematic analysis on the horizontal displacements of the key point of side wall on the plastic zone of the main cavern is carried out. The authors draw some conclusions from the systematic analysis . These conclusions will provide some useful reference for the study of large-scale underground cavern groups. The authors use the method which is mentioned in this paper to forecast the displacements of eight engineering projects. The results prove that the method is feasible.
