Development of 2D Finite Element Program for Coupled Thermo-hydro-mechanical Elasto-plastic Problem

ZHANG Yu-jun(Wuhan Research Institute of Rock Mechanics, China Academy, Wuhan 430071, China)  
Based on equations of stress equilibrium, hydraulic continuity and energy conservation as well as the elasto-plastic matrix, using Galerkin method, a 2D finite element program has been developed for analyzing the coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical elasto-plastic problems of saturated rock media. By comparing the solutions from finite element analysis and Taskey analysis for 1D consolidation problem and simplified numerical calculation of coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical problem for the underground facility of nuclear waste treatment, the correctness of this program has been verified.
