Risk Management in the Construction of Deep Excavation Engineering

In recent years the increasing attention is paid to accidents in the construction of deep excavation project. How to reduce the accidents and losses of deep excavation has become an important topic. At present there has been an increasing concern on risk analysis of deep excavation. In this paper, a generic risk-based decision process of deep excavation project was proposed through a case study. Risk factors during construction was identified firstly and the expert investigation method and AHP method were used in risk analysis. Then, the risk control was explained and discussed. Finally lots of topics were highlighted and the further research needs were stressed.
