Application of Synthetic Method of Ultrasonic Rebound in Testing Strength of Concrete Lining of Tunnel

The limits of Synthetic method of ultrasonic rebound applied to the strength test of concrete lining of highway tunnel are analyzed,and a principle is put forward that the lining strength should be determined on the basis of the classification of surrounding rock.A new formula is derived after considering the stress in lining,the age and the maintaining condition of concrete.The result obtained from the new formula is in agreement well with the core-drilling test.
