Numerical Analysis on Mid-partition Structure of the Loess Double Arch Tunnel

The diversification of stress during tunnel construction affects the stability of tunnel significantly.By 2D elastic-plastic calculation for Lishi double-arched tunnel,this paper analyzes the situation of stress and deformation under each phase of the predetermined excavating technique.Focusing on the mid-partition,this paper presents the general rules of the applied force state undertaken by the twin-arched tunnel's mid-partition,which can be taken as a reference for the design and construction.
