Risk Assessment on Stability of Surrounding Rock of Underground Engineering

Based on the method of risk assessment,the fuzzy analysis is introduced to establish the classification of surrounding rock stability.According to a great number of achievements in rock mechanics,six parameters are chosen.By the confirmation of the weight of those parameters and safety check list,the value of m is confirmed.A system with five levels from I to V for evaluating surrounding rock stability is given by the value of m.This system is applied to analyze the stability of surrounding rock in diversion tunnel of the Daliushu Hydro Project.The application shows that the system is effective and practical.
