Study on Small Deformation of Rock Beam by Fiber Grating Sensing Method

The course of rock deformation is complicated and easily influenced by environment factor and the key is the initial damage state that influences the fracture.Recently,the fiber grating sensing technology developed quickly,especially the fiber grating multi-point sensing which is based on the single-point technology and has more particular character,and the gratings can be laid in array.In view of this,the fiber grating multi-point technology is firstly applied to monitor the course of rock deformation in this paper.The fiber gratings are embedded in the rock layers of simulation model in array.By experiments, the preliminary relation between the rock deformation and the wavelength drift of gratings is studied.The study has important significance to detect the small deformation of rock and monitor the safety in geotechnical engineering.
