Application of FEM to Analyzing Pile-groups Design of an Dock Structure in a Harbour

Pile foundation in the dock structure project has a complex stress character,which is a typical passive pile-soil interaction problem.This paper presents a numerical method to simulate and studies the stress and distortion of pile-soil interaction by finite element method(FEM).Some comparison researches of some sections have been done.The results reflect properly the stress-strain character of pile foundation in the dock structure.This paper sums up some rules about the pile-soil interaction in the dock structure.
