The Study about Nonlinear Decline of Shear Strength of Water Suched Frost Boil Soil in Roadbase in Xinjiang

Based on analysis on interior conformation of soil and through theoretical study and test validation,the authors have drawn some useful conclusions that shear strength of unsaturated soil at suction is nonlinear declining,that enriched the scientific connotation of unsaturated soil mechanics.At present the shear strength parameters can be reckoned by curve fitting of water content and strength parameters.Test results have shown that the calculating parameters are similar to the real ones and can satisfy the engineering needs.
