The Method of Using EMD to Identify Time of Delay in Millisecond Blasting

As a new decomposition method based on the local properties of the signal,the EMD(Empirical Mode Decomposition),which is adaptive and suitable for processing non-stationary signals,can decompose complicated signals into finite intrinsic mode functions with physical meaning.In this paper,the method using EMD to identify time of delay in millisecond blasting was put forward,and based on the data collected from practical millisecond blasting vibration monitoring records,the authors use EMD method to decompose blasting vibration signal into IMF components,and then ascertain the practical time of delay according to the envelope range value drawn from main component of IMF with Hilbert transform.
