Application of Three-Dimensional Strength Reduction FEM in Slope

The slope stability appraisal,especially to the slope with characteristic of complicated geometry,should be dealt with as the three-dimensional problem.In this paper,the strength reduction method is applied in the analysis on three-dimension slope stability,and a comparison of several yield criterions in common uses is presented through three typical examples.It is shown that using the Mohr-Coulomb equivalent area circle yield criterions to replace the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterions in three-dimensional is feasible.
