Research Advances on the Influences of Reservoir Water Level Fluctuation on Slope Stability

The reservoir water level fluctuation is an important factor inducing the reaction and instability of ancient landslides,definitely mastering the principle of the influences of reservoir water level fluctuation on slope stability and choosing effective analysis method are the key segment to accurately reflect the development and deferment of landslide.Based on the mechanism of water rock interaction,the influences of reservoir water level fluctuation on slope stability have been analyzed.In particular the stability evaluation methods of landslide including limit equilibrium analysis,the strength reduction finite element method,saturated/unsaturated seepage coupling and so on are described.finally,in this paper the problems in study and the way for the future research are pointed out.
