Study on Effect of Smoke Flow during Tunnel Fire on Rescue and Escape

The numerical simulation of Xuefeng Mountain tunnel was made using the commercial CFD software PHOENICS 3.5.The spreading rules and characteristics of concentration field and temperature field in longitudinal and transversal direction of the tunnel were studied at the different longitudinal ventilation speeds.Meanwhile,the law of dynamic development of the smoke was studied and their effect on evacuation was analyzed.The effective measures of fire rescue and people's escape were finally put forward,which would provide the theoretical background for evacuation design in tunnel fire.
