Study on Slope Safety of Earth Rockfill Cofferdam

With reference to the slope of earth rockfill cofferdam in the Danger-preventing reinforcement project of Tian Qiao power station,the combination of safety factor and reliability is suggested to evaluate the slope safety of earth rockfill cofferdam.The traditional Sweden slice method is used to establish the limit state function.Considering the cohesive strength and internal friction angel as random variable,the Monte-Carlo method is used to solve the re- liability index.The relation between the safety factor and reliability index is discussed.The results show that it is a better way to get the actual condition with evaluation by safety factor and reliability.It offers a reference to evaluate the slope safety of earth rockfill cofferdam.
