Model Test on the Grouting Effect in Shield Construction

In shield construction the grouting effect directly affects the destroyable degree of the structures and buildings on the ground.Now the testing on the grouting effect is limited only in respect to the physical properties,chemical properties and mechanical properties of the slurry itself with consideration of the construction conditions.The construction-site test is difficult to be put into practice,due to its high cost.This paper introduces a model test which can be used to determine the effect in controlling the suface displacement under different conditions and the status of controlling on collapse of tunnel hole, and thus to guide the construction effectively.
