Study on the Loading Capacity Detection by N_(10) for the Foundation of Low Subgrade

Based on the light dynamic penetrometer test with the advantage of simple,flexible and fast operation,the numerical presentation of the relation between the mechanical index of light dynamic penetrometer test N10 and the loading capacity of foundation σ,as well as that between N10 and the mechanical index of static cone penetration tests PS,is analysed by taking a large amount of light dynamic penetrometer and static cone penetration tests.Then the correlative relation formula of N10 and σ,as well as that of N10 and PS are established so that the criterion to detect the loading capacity of the low subgrade in clay soil zone by light dynamic penetrometer test can be determined and the corresponding soil mechanical indexes are obtained.The present relations can be used in the geotechnical exploration of shallow foundations,then the cost of project can be decreased and the exploration cycle shortened,then the possibility of blindness in the low subgrade foundation design is diminished.
