Abnormal Stress Distribution Adjacent to a Fault and It's Influence on Stability of Tunnel

This paper studies abnormal distribution of stress and displacement adjacent to a fault as well as how stress field of tunnel surrounding rocks is influenced by a fault.According to systematic numerical simulation test,it studies the influences of four primary factors of fault:thickness,fault dip,fault deformation modulus and lateral pressure coefficient of initial stress.Using test design of orthogonal and uniform method,applying analysis method of FLAC-3D,and analyzing 16 basic schemes of calculated conditions,regular results have been gained.At last,as tunnel approaches fault,elastic and elastic-plastic analysis on changes of surrounding rocks stability are conducted.And possibilities of brittle fracture are analyzed and predicted.
