Three-Dimension Nonlinear Stability Analysis of the Mine Surrounding Rockmass

The 3-D model of the mine surrounding rockmass is established and analyzed by using nonlinear finite element method(FEM).The stability of the main roadway and the branch roadway is studied.It is shown that the displacement and the stress of the surrounding rock increase with the increasing depth of the rockmass.The plastic zones in the main roadway and the branch roadway are found and the plastic area of the plastic zone increases.There are some stress concentration areas,which are found around the tunnel,and the degree of the stress concentration becomes larger with the increasing depth of the rockmass.The transitional delaminating phenomenon of the stress appear and the value of the stress increases with the increasing depth of the tunnel.The stress interaction of the opening is evident.The capability of the sandstone is poor,so the stability of the surrounding rock mass in the branch roadway need to be considered seriously in support design.
