Analysis on Stability for the Surrounding Rock of Tunnel and Exploring the Strength Parameters

For a long time,there is a concern about the stability for the surrounding rock of underground opening.Nowadays,many researchers judge the stability for the surrounding rock of underground opening through stress,displacement and plastic zone of the rock calculated by finite element method.In fact,it is questionable to judge the stability for the surrounding rock by this way,and there is no rational connection between the displacement,plastic zone and the stability of the surrounding rock changed due to many factors.In this paper,the authors try to use limit analysis method to analyze the stability for the surrounding rock of underground opening and propose the methods to calculate shear and fracturing safety factor.Then,the potential failure surface of surrounding rock and safety factor can be gotten to evaluate the stability for the surrounding rock and the reasonableness of the design.In addition,the marks of stability of all kinds of rock mass are put forward,and the strength parameters of the rock mass are deduced by the safety factor in order to get closer to the real result.
