FEM Analysis Using Substructure Method of Superstructure-Raft Foundation-Ground Soil Interaction

The stiffness matrix of the superstructure analysed by three dimensional substructure method was condensed from top to raft foundation,and the elastoplastic stiffness matrix of ground soil stimulated by D-P constitutive model was also condensed to raft foundation,the theory of 3D elastoplastic finite element model was set up considering interaction of superstructure,raft foundation and ground soil.The theory was applied to establish the 3D elastoplastic finite element model of frame structural skirt building-frame tube main building-raft foundation-ground soil.The model was numerically stimulated by the program of ANSYS.The results showed that the axial stress of column and the bending stress of beam of main building potentially increased compared with those of the building without considering the interaction and the axial stress of column of skirt building with considering interaction is smaller than that without interaction,while the bending stress of beam of skirt building is the opposite.Then,former analysis was studied profoundly considering interaction,it came into conclusion that the foundation subsidence differences caused by non uniform settlement of raft foundation insulted in redistribution of stress of superstructure,especially the rate of axial stress of column of main building and bending stress of beam of main building is bigger than the rate of the axial stress of column of skirt building and the bending stress of beam of skirt building,the conclusion will provide reference for engineering design.
