Geostress Measurement and Rockburst Prediction Analysis for an Extra-long Railway Tunnel

Geostress is the main factor of rockburst,its measurement is the important task of the geologic survey in the deep and long tunnel.The results of geostress measurement within two vertical boreholes of an extra-long railway tunnel are presented in this paper,and the distribution trend representing the whole tunnel is analyzed from the geological conditions.Then the probabilities of rockburst along the line of tunnel are predicted by three criterions on basis of strength theory.
