Calculation of Construction Load in Cover-cut Method and Analysis of Neighboring Building's Displacement

This paper presents the method for construction load determination in cover-cut method.The calculating method is presented according to the travel orientation of automobile and the pave mode of pavement plate.Also,a finite element method is employed to analyze different of types excavation(namely full cover-cut,half-cover-cut,and non-cover-cut) for induced neighboring building's displacement and internal force.The results show that the building's vertical displacement induced by full-cover excavation is 21% bigger than that by non-cover excavation,full-cover excavation has the strongest ability to control the heave of foundation pit and the heave of foundation pit is 7.3% smaller than that by non-cover excavation.
