Study on the Stability of Foundation Pit Supporting in Metro Tunnels

It is inevasible for the MTR construction with cut and cover method to pass more closely through the foundation of tall buildings,which can make the MTR designing and constructing more difficult,so the supporting of the foundation pits is one of the toughest problems during the open excavation construction of metro tunnels.In this paper,we analyze the support structure and the deformation law of the pit surroundings during the excavation of foundation pit of the open-excavation section in No.10 metro line of Beijing by FLAC3D simulation method,the effect of the change of the parameters(such as the length and the diameter of the pile) on the foundation pit stability is also studied.Comparison of the simulated result with the monitored data is presented in the end of this paper.
