Technology of Metro Construction through Deep Complex Ground in Shanghai

Confronted with the advent of a new round of large-scale shield construction in deep ground in metropolises,this paper deals with the compound stratum,composed of hard clay and pressurized-water sand with the engineering background from the actual project.Started from the total thrust,advancing speed,shield attitude and other construction parameters,a survey analysis of the broken lining segments is made.Finally,a deep analysis of the vertical and horizontal settlement curves of the surface ground is made.The main reasons for decline in driving efficiency,deviation from the design axis,the seriously broken lining segment,the increased settlement of ground surface are clarified.The deformation law of the stratum is obtained.And the corresponding control method is put forward.The result of the study offers an example for design and construction of other similar projects in the future.
