Analysis of Tunnel Construction Safety through Weathered Slot

The causes of the problem encountered during tunnel construction in the weathered slot were analyzed. Based on expert advice and geology condition,the original design was modified and some countermeasures were put forward,such as to intensify the geology forecast and preliminary support,excavation by bench method wilh vertical temporary steel support.Construction safety was justified using simulation software and in - site monitoring. The tunnel stability was analyzed by strength reduction method.In - site monitoring and numerical simulation results show that the vertical steel support can effectively reduce crown displacement.The tunnel safety factor is 1.8 based on strength reduction method,and the main indicator of rock failure is crown displacement.The research can give a reference for similar tunnel projects.
