Research on Influence of Water Contents on the Shear Strength Behavior of Unsaturated Soils

The research on shear strength of the unsaturated soils becomes hot point and difficult point in soil mechanics research.It is difficult to calculate precisely the strength of unsaturated soils,because there are many different influential factors related to the strength and there are many research ways to study this problem.The difference between unsaturated soils and saturated soils is in their water contents,so there is some significance to use shear strength formula of saturated soils for unsaturated soils.This paper used water contents of soil to determine the logarithm of cohesive and frictional angel and then to calculate the shear strength behavior of unsaturated soils.The results have some values in practice.
