Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis on Reinforcement of Entrance and Exit for Shield by Horizontal Jet Grouting

To confirm the reinforcing effect of horizontal jet grouting on entrance and exit for shield,and provide theory basis and instruction to design and construction for similar projects,a three-dimensional finite element model was built for a reinforcement project in Shanghai using strength reduction FEM.Three cases were employed to analyze the stability and safety of soil,deformation law of surface and reinforced body.Thus,an economic and reasonable range of reinforcement was obtained.Furthermore,the influence of parameter variation of reinforcement on surface and circle reinforcement displacement and safety factor due to such variation was investigated.
