Analysis of Parameters and Retaining Characteristics of Composite Structure with Scattered Piles and Soil Nailing

Based on the hypothesis of parabola soil arch axes and active slip plane,the computational model of load transfer behavior and integral stability for composite structure with scattered piles and soil nailing(PSN) is established and calculat on formulas are obtained.The parametric studies show that the retaining characteristic of PSN is that between scattered piles and soil nailing and the dominant characteristic of PSN depends on its parameters.It is suggested that the dominant characteristic of PSN should be selected for design purpose according to the project conditions in practice.
