Numerical Analysis of Bolt Pullout Based on Elastic-Perfectly Plastic Model

In order to further reveal the working mechanism of full grouting bolt and its influencing factors,the existing researches on the pullout behavior of single anchor are briefly reviewed firstly.This paper presents a numerical model on concrete specimen during anchor uplifting with elastic-perfectly plastic model and Mohr–Coulomb yield criterion using FLAC,acquiring the curve of force vs.displacement.Through parametric studies,the anchor can be designed to achieve a high pullout capacity by increasing the embedment depth,bolt diameter and confining pressure in reasonable range.The model geometry did not affect the ultimate pull force except for computing time and process accuracy.The loading mechanism and failure modes of full grouting bolt are also discussed.
