Analysis on Stability of Surrounding Rock and Support Design of the Room of Spillway Tunnel at Xiluodu Hydro-Electric Station

The spillway tunnel of Xiluodu hydro-electric station is designed with press tunnel in the front and back down to free-flow tunnel and the radial service gate room is at the end of press tunnel.To prove the feasibility and rationality of the construction,according to the geological and topographical condition and the construction arrangement,a model is built with the 3d nonlinear finite element method,then,from excavation to supporting,the deformation of surrounding rock,stress and plastic zone distribution are computed and analyzed and the parameters of support to the stability of surrounding rock are designed.Compared with monitoring data,it is shown that the stress,deformation and distribution of plastic zone obtained by calculation are correct and the design is reasonable.
