Numerical Analysis of Pit Displacement in Strata of “Soil-rock” Dualistic Structure at Top-down Work

With the development of urban underground space and construction of high-rise buildings,deep excavation works gradually increased because of the restrictions of limited urban space,and its scale and depth is increasing. In this case,top-down method is used widely because it can reduce the destruction of underground structures of the adjacent buildings,cost less money and use less time. In this paper,a large pit construction using top-down method in strata of"soil-rock"dualistic structure is used as the case to study the numerical analysis of pit displacement. Results show that the deformation of foundation pit and the displacement of the pile are controlled effectively,and in line with the pit specifications. This will hopefully serve as a theoretical reference to similar engineering projects in future.
