Simulation of CRD Construction Method in Large-section Shallowmining Subsea Tunnel

Based on the large finite element software ABAQUS,the combination method of finite element and infinite element is used to simulate the CRD construction procedures of large-span and shallow-mining subsea tunnel.The research is mainly about initial stress field analysis,pre-grouting reinforcement of surrounding rock,excavation of service tunnel and its effect,the effect of different working procedures of CRD method on the tunnel surrounding rock mass,the support structure and the ground settlement etc.. The study suggests that: the new proposed defining method of initial stress field is better than the others; during the service tunnel excavation,the ground settlement is a Vshaped distribution,however,during the main tunnels excavation,the ground settlement turns into the W-shaped distribution; the biggest settlement position of tunnel rock mass caused by the excavation part of CRDⅠ is different from that of other parts of CRD; the primary support of CRDⅡ has some controlling effect on the deformation of surrounding rock mass; there is a large amount of rock settlement in the vault of CRDⅢ; there are stress concentration and large plastic deformation zone at the corners of arch bottoms of main tunnels. Research results are of reference value for the design and construction of similar projects.
