Experimental Analysis on Long-age Flexural Strength of Autoclaved Steel Fiber Fly Ash Brick

In order to investigate the long-age properties of autoclaved steel fiber fly ash brick,the flexural tests for autoclaved steel fiber fly ash brick with various steel fiber contents has been conducted after curing 1000d in natural environment. The test results show that compared with autoclaved fly ash brick,the flexural strength of autoclaved steel fiber fly ash bricks with steel fiber volume content of 0. 4%,0. 6% and 0. 8% has increased by 16. 1%,38. 7% and 24. 2% respectively. The adding of steel fiber could increase the long-age flexural strength and improve the failure mode of bricks. When steel fiber volume content is 0. 6%,the autoclaved steel fiber fly ash brick has shown good mechanical characteristics in both flexural strength and failure mode. So,the reasonable volume content for steel fiber in autoclaved fly ash brick is 0. 6%. The corrosion of steel fiber is the main factor affecting the long-age flexural strength of autoclaved steel fiber fly ash bricks.
