A Study on Acoustic Emission Characters of Failure of Fissured Rock on Compression

Liu Dongyan et al.  
The fissured rocks were simulated with cement mortar speciments which were tested on uniaxial compression.By means of acoustic emission the whole process from initiation_expansion_fracture of new craoks in fissured rock under compression was analysed.The characteristics of acoustic emission for specimens with central diagonal cracks at failure on compression were analysed.The mechanism of failure of fissured rock due to fracture on compression with shear was revealed.
