Quantitative Analysis of Snowline Zonality

Jiang Zhongxin ( The 2nd Railroad Survey and Design Institute)  
Horizontal snowline zonality in both the southern and northern hemispheres obeys the mathematical model of normal frequency distributiqnf unction: In the southern hemisphere: In the northern hemisphere: Their maximum values appear at a low latitude area(16.5°, 18.5°), and inflection points appear at a middle latitude area(35° 43', 46° 33/ ) . Snowline elevation H depends on the relative annual average temperature AT andthe difference AA between annual ablation value and precipitation. It is: AT Ah conforms to the zonality model of normal frequency distribution function ( ), showing that the snowline zonality results from the zonality of moisture and heat distribution.
