Study of the Precipitation in the Heihe River Basin:Progress and Prospect

In this paper,the present research achievement on the precipitation of Heihe River basin is summarized.The work is focused on the temporal and spatial variations of the precipitation and the impact factors of precipitation.In the researches on the variation of precipitation,a great many researches has been done on the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of the whole river basin and the variation of precipitation has been analyzed in the upriver Qilian Mountains.In the researches of the impact factors of precipitation,studies of the relationship between topography and precipitation in the Qilian Mountains has been carried out.Some achievement has been obtained in the researches of the relationship between precipitation and water condition,climate change and human activity.The above progress provides us some understanding in the climatic characteristics,the precipitation distribution and the influence of topography on precipitation,which lays a foundation for further studying the precipitation mechanics in the Heihe River basin.For the further studying,the following two aspects should be stressed: 1) the effects of water sources and water transportation in relation to large-scale circulation system change on the precipitation in Heihe River basin,2)impacts of local factors in relation to topography on the precipitation in Heihe River Basin
