Studies on History Evolution of Human Activity in the Lower Reaches of Tarim River under Environment Change

HAN Chun-xian(School of Tourism and Culinary Science,Yangzhou University,Yangzhou Jiangsu 225009,China)
The analysis of historical documents, achievements in archaeological and scientific investigations about environment change and human activity in the lower reaches of the Tarim River. It proved that human activity evolution in the lower reaches area of Tarim River was influenced by climate change which took important effecting on ecological environment of Tarim River in history, and by human land and water resources development activities in the upper area of Tarim River from the end of 19th on.From 1990s,the environment turned worse further, human activity intensity and benefit increased rapidly, and agriculture area along the lower reaches of Tarim River developed rapidly while channel of lower reaches of Tarim Rive shrinking and natural oasis becoming desert continuously, and agricultural area of the lower reaches area of Tarim River which adjoining to desert became the ecological-economic region which could defiance the oasis environment degradation,as a result, artificial oasis developed on the base of the expensive cost.It suggested that man-land relationship became harmonious should be restricted that water resources utilization causing no more ecological degradation in the lower reaches area of Tarim River.
