WORK HARDENING NECHANISM ASPECTS OF HIGH MANGANESE STEEL

With authors' findings,this paper discussed some work hardening mechanism of high manganese steel as strain-induced martensitic transformation,deformation twin,dislocation propagation,dynamic strain aging,compound strengthening and Fe Mn C atomic cluster strengthening.It is deemed that the Fe Mn C atomic cluster hardening mechanism can roundly and rationally account for microstructure and performance characteristics of high manganese steel.
