Study on improving properties of SHS ceramics-lined steel pipes

Self-propagating high-temperature synthesis(SHS) ceramics-lined composite steel pipes have many characteristics, such as simple industrial process, energy saving, low cost and good service effects and so on. On the basis of summarizing the manufacture principle of SHS ceramics-lined composite steel pipes, the means for improving the properties of SHS ceramics-lined pipes by means of decreasing the porosity and crackles of the ceramic layers, and increasing the binding strength of them are expounded. The present application situations and development prospects of SHS ceramics-lined steel pipes are discussed, too.
