Statistic analysis of fragments distribution for exploded tungsten alloy cylinders

The fragments distribution characteristics of fragile tungsten alloys were studied by means of exploding tungsten alloy cylinders. The experimental results were also compared with that of 93W alloy. A statistic analysis was carried out on the distribution characteristics of mass and number of the fragments. The results show that the amount of fragments of fragile tungsten alloys is more than of 93W alloy, and the homogeneity of fragments is also better than that of 93W alloy; while the retrieval rate of fragments of fragile alloys is lower than that of 93W alloy, and is affected greatly by explosive amount.
