Primary research on ferrite concrete based composite material for microwave absorption

The microwave reflectance (MR) of the concrete atmosphere interface has been researched with electromagnetic field theory. If the concrete mortar is regarded as no-attenuation dielectric, its absolute value MR is about 1. The concrete with microwave absorption property has been prepared by compounding concrete with ferrite microwave absorbent (MA). The concrete with 33%Wt. MA has -7dB~-15dB microwave absorption, when the vertical incidence microwave frequency is 8~12GHz and the concrete mortar lever's thickness is about 3mm. Because of the MR decreases, the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the concrete with MA reduces a little. This type of concrete has potential application future in the research areas of new stealthy protective engineering construction, electromagnetic radiation pollution decrease as well as electromagnetic shielding.
