Study on properties of electroformed nanocrystalline Ni - Mn alloy

Microhardness and tensile tests are performed to the Ni - Mn alloy electroformed by using the device with flushing electrolyte and the pulse current with high frequency. The effects of deposition current density on microhardness and tensile properties of the electroformed layers are studied. It is shown that, with the increment of current density, microhardness and strength of the layers increase, the elongation ratio decreases·because of the increment of Mn content of the layers and the decrement of crystalline size of the layers. Microhardness and strength of electroformed nanocrystalline Ni - Mn alloy possess high performance.
