Tensile property of LiH under different environment condition

The tensile property of LiH under different temperature was studied and the fracture was observed with SEM.The result shows that the tensile strength of all LiH specimen(including sintered and unsintered) increases with temperature from 100 ℃ to 300 ℃,and decreases with temperature from 300 ℃ to 600 ℃.The cold compacted LiH specimen is sintered from 350 ℃ to 650 ℃,the tensile strength reaches the maximal value at 530 ℃.Also the comparison between compressive strength of LiH and the humidty in the environment has been measured.The result show that the humidty has an important influence on the mechanical property,and the more the humidty,the more the compressive strength of short-term storage of LiH specimen.
