Determination of trace arsenic and selenium in chromium-nickel alloy steel by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry

Trace arsenic and selenium in chromium-nickel alloy steel was determined by HITACHI Z-2000 atomic absorption spectrophotometer and relative experiment conditions were discussed.Results showed that the content of arsenic and selenium was determined by using 0.1 mg·ml-1 Mg(NO3)2 as matrix modifier,the recovery rate was in range of 104% and 106%,the relative standard deviation of the method was 3.29% and 3.76%,characteristic quality was 0.73 μg·L-1 and 0.75 μg·L-1,and limit of detection was 1.40 μg·L-1and1.13 μg·L-1.The method was suitable for the determination of trace arsenic and selenium in chromium-nickel alloy steel with the advantages of being simple,rapid,stable and accurate.
