Influence of ceramic confined effect on ballistic performance of composite armor

In preparation of ceramic composite armor,confined techniques of ceramic have a great influence on the property of ballistic performance of the armor.Available and reasonable three-dimensional confinement can improve the anti-projectile property of the ceramic composite armor.The influence of the form and dimension of ceramic,strength of compound glue, alignment of high strength fibers,and rigidity of backboard on the ballistic performance of the composite armor had been studied.The experimental results show that ceramic composite armor plate made by the optimum techniques has excellent property of anti-projectile and ability to defend multiple projectiles.
