Influence of electrical pulse on the solidification structure and the mechanical property of 335HRB screw steel

After the treatment of electrical pulse to 335HRB screw steel with 2 600 voltage, the macrostructure was changed significantly,dendritic grain decreased and equiaxed grain increased. Meanwhile, the microstructure was improved as Widmanstats decreased, pearlites increased and the pearlite interlamellar spacing became narrower. It’s also suggested in the experiment that electrical pulse treatment contributed much to the micro-hardness amelioration, which was identified as following: the pearlites’was enhanced from 183HV0.1 to 219HV0.1 and the ferrites’from127.2 HV0.1 to 138.1HV0.1.
