Study on the tensile mechanical properties of SiC_p/Al functionally graded materials

On the basis of the traditional preparation process,powder metallurgy method was improved.SiCp/Al functionally graded composites with reinforcement size of 5,7,10 μm were prepared by hot press molding process,and tensile mechanical properties were studied.The results show that the SiCp/Al FGM prepared by vacuum hot pressing has good performance,and can reduce the cost of secondary processing,SiCp/Al FGM with reinforcement size of 5 μm has better tensile mechanical properties.Ansys software is used to simulate tensile mechanical properties,and numerical simulation results agree well with experimental results.
