Influences of La~(3+) substitution on magnetic properties of M-type strontium ferrites

Influences of the substituted amount of La 3+ on structure and magnetic properties of Sr 1-x La x Fe12O19 prepared by sol-gel method have been investigated by XRD,VSM and TEM.It is found that the suitable amount of La3+ substitution may remarkably increase saturation magnetization σs and intrinsic coercivity H cj.Optimum magnetic properties of σs=74.1 Am 2 /kg,H cj=498.4 kA/m are achieved with material of composition Sr 0.85 La 0.15 Fe1 1.85 O 19 heated at 850 ℃ in air.
